I’m finally rejoining the blog world after a hiatus due to the craziness that revolves around selling a house and moving across the country (more to come on that later).
I am now officially a resident of Washington and ever since the movers came to pick up all the stuff in Minnesota, life has been a whirlwind. The packing started in June and I finally arrived on August 2nd. And do you think I could sit still once I got out here? No way.
My first full weekend here I looked at about 15 houses and among those houses found my “dream house.” So an offer was made and it was accepted. Ummm… what?! What happened to taking time to find a new home once I got out here? Clearly, God had a different plan in mind.
That wasn’t the only big change – yesterday was my last day working for the company where I spent the last four and a half years of my career. It was extremely difficult to leave that company, but it was time for me to step outside of my comfort zone and take on a new challenge.
I start my new job in a couple weeks so I get some time off between jobs to explore the Seattle area. It will also be nice to just relax for the first time in a while… not sure how much relaxing will happen when you’re buying a new house, but I hope it’s a significant amount!
So there you have it – I am back and I can’t wait to get everyone caught up on what has been going on in my life the past two months. More to come on packing up a house and moving across the country…
